Footprints in the Fynbos by Liza Roux and Judy Maré

Footprints in the Fynbos is a three-in-one book.

  1. a story book about Leeto the Leopard, who goes hunting for a friend in the fynbos,
  2. facts about leopards, interesting facts about their tracks, how to find them, where they live, threats and more…
  3. fun activities; things to make and do, i.e. drawing a cute cub, join the dots exercise, face masks and many more puzzles.

This book abounds with interesting facts, activities and a storybook that can be read to children.

This predator is classified as a VU (vulnerable) on the global “Red List” of threatened species.  It is important for our children to learn about the Cape Leopard, which is their heritage.  Many children will never get to see a leopard; this makes it vitally important to teach them to value and look after what we have.

Inspiration for this book, Footprints in the Fynbos, came from The Cape Leopard Trust, and the authors Liza M Roux and Judy Maré thank them for contributions.
